Born in Tel Aviv, Gad Emile Zeitune took his first musical steps in his father’s recording studio, where he met some of Israel’s foremost musicians, recorded his first tune, and gained experience as a recording engineer.

In high school he majored in filmmaking, and during his service in the Israeli army, he was asked to produce several training films; shooting, editing, and assembling the musical score.

While a student at Purchase College, Gad wrote an absurdist opera, The Ghorbil Songspiel, about a comic book artist who turns into a monster of his own creation. The ambitious production involved students of various disciplines from this unique performing arts school.

After attending the film scoring program at USC, Gad was hired by Jon Ehrlich to work on the shows House and Invasion. There he was given the opportunity to compose for television on such shows as Power Rangers, Aaron Stone and Invasion.

Gad is now residing in Los Angeles and writing for TV and films. His work includes music for major motion pictures to documentaries on the History Channel.

He is still continually collaborating with filmmakers in Israel, namely Yaniv Berman for whom he scored Even Kids Started Small - an official selection at the Festival de Cannes.
